| Software Engineer | Full-time

This team is seeking a Software Engineer responsible for developing ground and flight software for missions to the moon and beyond. This position includes the following duties and responsibilities:
· Support software development and architecting efforts on a variety of projects from Flight Software (FSW) to toolkit and visualization developments to supporting ML and autonomous systems.
· Participate in the full software development life cycle (SDLC) including requirements, implementation, testing, integration, and mission operations.
· Generate software architecture solutions for new project needs.
· Work with aerospace engineering staff to develop operational and performance requirements and ensure the final solution meets their needs.
· Document findings and communicate results to engineering and program management as well as customers and stakeholders.
· Publishing and presenting novel research activities.
· Support of civil, commercial, and national security customers.
A successful candidate must have the following:
· Solid knowledge of at least one high-level language (Python, Java, etc.) and one compiled language with manual memory management (C/C++, D, Rust, Swift, etc.). You’ll mostly be using Python and C/C++.
· A solid grasp of programming concepts (e.g. big O notation, OOP, design patterns).
· Understanding of and experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and best practices.
· An ability to solve complex problems creatively with minimal supervision. A desire to learn and understand, not just “turn the crank.”
A successful candidate should have some or all of the following:
· A portfolio of projects, even informal (i.e. Github/Gitlab/etc.) to show off your skills.
· The ability to communicate with engineers and customers who have a different background and different expertise than you.
· Experience with Flight Software or embedded systems experience.
· Experience with AI/ML or autonomous systems.
· Familiarity with testing practices such as unit tests, fuzzing, TDD, etc.
· A focus on the end-user experience.
· A deep passion for space exploration.
Education and Experience:
· A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
· Demonstrated programming experience in a professional, personal, and/or academic environment.
Eligibility requirements
· Ability to work in the Westminster, CO office 3-5 days/week
· Applicants must be a US Person (citizen or Green Card Holder/permanent resident, or protected individual)
· Must be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance
· This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government
Compensation and Benefits:
· Base Salary Range:$90,000-$120,000 based on team member role and experience
